It then became apparent that Hopsin hit a raw nerve, because he came back with a response that was clearly intended to humiliate Hopsin. "Stay in your lane bro I'm not I will your soul," Hopsin replied, with a message that threw Bobby Tarantino II rapper, Logic, under the bus while citing the "I put that on everythang" line from the "Sriracha" track that made Lucas and Logic enemies. Somehow the contents of the tweet got back to Lucas, prompting him to find out from Hopsin, first hand, if what he was smelling was smoke. Hopsin had set a little time out of his day to engage fans in a little Q&A and when one particular fan asked his thoughts on who would win between him and Lucas, Hopsin proceeded to call it a "dumb question" that ought to be obvious to his fans. The rift all began after Lucas happened to come across a comment Hopsin made that he took to be a slight at him. And although the dispute would come to a halt with each of the two gentlemen letting the public know that they are actually cool with one another, both concluded the exchange with cliffhangers that leave open the possibility of a battle. Hopsin and Joyner Lucas went back and forth on Twitter about who would smash who in lyrical combat.
